  • Wanted: t56 new or rebuilt to withstand

MY trans is failing pretty bad, need a new or rebuilt one. I really don't know if mine is ok to rebuild. I'm on a budget of about 1000 dollars, 1200 if it really really comes down to it. Kinda screwed for money right now.
Thanks guys, I know I'll find something reliable here.

oh wow, didnt kno man my bad, there are other t-56 rebuilders out there, as long as the case aint cracked they usually can rebuild em. i never really followed the t-56 rebuild shops too much cuz i was sticking with a 5spd in my old 3rd gen

Oh don't worry about it, I'd rather everyone know about individuals that rip people off, especially with something that can be as personal as a trans rebuild. I'm thinking about going for a new t56 with the strip ratios from driveline.com. Anyone have an opinion of their service/products?

Ended up buying a new trans from a place in the rocky's, should be here soon. I'll be rebuilding the old one, if it's salvageable, and selling it.
