The BBSDesigns turbo kit for turbocharging SBC cars, 3rd generation 1982-92 Camaro, Trans Am, GTA's, and Firebirds with V8 engines.
The BBSDesigns turbo kit is specially designed to fit the tight engine compartment of the 3rd gen F-body and other V8 chevy equiped cars with operating A/C with "V" belt pulley sytem(**see notes). Each kit is handmade built for the best possible fit using the strongest materials for durability and a clean engine installation. Changing spark plugs is just a matter of 15 minutes!!! No removal of turbo necessary, just by removing the downpipe, a two minute operation, you have complete access to the plugs. Now you can stop dreaming about having a 1989 V6 Turbo Trans Am or a moon-priced supercharger kit when you can turbocharge your F-body V8 or SBC car with a BBSDesigns turbo kit!!!
On my 1987 GTA, MAF sensor equiped, project car the engine generated 573 hp* at the rear wheels with operating A/C using the BBSDesigns turbo kit!!!
*Note: Horsepower varies depending on engine size, intake, turbo size, intercooling and other modifications.

BBSDesigns single turbo kit for 450+ Horsepower range includes
1)Brand new T61 turbocharger, simmilar as shown in picture, same size, semi-polished. Ceramic coating option.
2)Laser cut, 3/8" thick steel flange, 1/8" wall thickness pipe turbo header. Ceramic coating option.
3)Drivers side steel header.
4)Crossoverpipe.
5)Stainless steel 3" dia. down pipe with "V" band and oxygen & pyrometer fittings.
6)3" dia. steel inlet pipe with connecting hoses, clamps, elbow and MAF or MAP installation option.
7)Innovative billet wastegate powder coated with stainless steel exhaust pipe.
8)HKS blow-off valve.
9)Special oil dip stick.
10)Stainless steel braided oil supply hose and connectors.
11)Oil return flange and connectors.

**Notes; Down pipe to vehicle exhaust pipe needs to be joined after installation is done. Shorty style spark plugs are needed (Summit sells them, part# for Accel's brand is; ACC-0576S cost $2.95 ea.) with 90 degrees boot plug wires. If car equiped with oil cooler, hoses must be re-routed in area near the mechanical fuel pump blockoff plate is. Turbo header designed for straight plug heads, do not guarantee that will fit angled plug heads. Turbo system designed for 3rd gen. F-body cars, do not guarantee that will fit 2nd or 4th gen. F-body cars. Must run a shorter alternator belt(if alternator is located at passenger's side). Serpentine belt equiped cars(with A/C compressor mounted on passenger's side) need to relocate/delete the A/C compressor or change to "V" belt pulley system (A/C compressor in driver's side)in order to operate the A/C. Turbocharger has a manufacturer's 12 month limited warranty. Turboheader and downpipe has lifetime warranty against cracks. The BBSDesigns turbo system can be used on stock motors, with stock computers, with stock injectors at 5 psi boost. If running more boost will require upgrades(adj. fuel regulator, larger injectors, boost retard, etc...). This system has been tested up to 30 psi of boost. Mass Air Flow sensor equiped cars(MAF) require to pressurize the MAF sensor, as shown in picture, to eliminate a lot of problems as weird as it may look(this way you eliminate "service engine" light comming on and unstable idling, car works superbly). MAF sensor can withstand 30+ psi of boost without breaking, TESTED.
