  • making something need a flywheel

I need a flywheel and Clutch kit for my lt1 t56, what flywheel will work cheap and what clutch and pressureplate will work, i know its a 168tooth 11 inch flywheel but what about bolt patterns and what not,
Will any sbc flywheel work? or does it have to be lt1?
    Thanks

The flywheel has to be one for an LT1. It is not the same as a SBC.

The cheapest flywheel I have seen is a stock GM
    93-97 part #10125379 $173.85 from www.gmpartsdirect.com/
You might find it cheaper from Dal or Sal.

The next cheapest flywheel I found was a Spec from LM performance at $280 http://www.lmperformance.com/5409/2.html

I would highly suggest the SLP clutch kit. http://www.lmperformance.com/2970/2.html I know many people have used the SPEC with no problems but I had problems with their stage 2 clutch. As a matter of fact they just sent me a stage 1 replacement clutch for my stage 2. I am using a SLP disc with the SPEC PP. (Don't ask why)
