i am getting this nice jvc radio it's got red lighting to it so it will perfectly match my trans am , but the thing is its silver? so.... sould i paint the trim around the radio silver as well? any ideas ... i really want it to blend in ?

I would sell it and use the money to buy something else you'd rather have.

I'm picky about the appearance of my interior, and a silver radio would just drive me nuts. I run the factory head unit just so my interior looks stock. The rest of the system is definitley not factory, though.

personally i think if you put silver (radio) inside a black or dark gray interior, it might stick out like a sore thumb. if you want to tackle painting it, then good luck. also, are you sure that the display will match your dash?? you might want to contact the radio manufacturer to see if they offer a different colors

I really don't like the look of the thin aftermarket head units in the dash, so I bought the wider pioneer head which looks and fits perfect.
