    Got Comp Cam valve springs to go with my 306 cam, comp cam retainers, valve seals, and valve locks.

    I had taken him the part # of some springs I found online, and he didn't like the way the specs of it looked when I showed him my cam and specs. He musta known the cam, cause he was saying something about not liking the installed height numbers... He said an approximate installed height #, then he looked in the comp cam catalog, and the springs and retainers they rec. for that cam were about the exact #'s he mentioned to me. Guy knows his stuff. Oh yeah, the springs I bought were cheaper than what I had found myself.

    So I got those. Going to pick that up tomorrow. I am right now taking a break from my conquests engine overhaul, which is going super smooth. Gaskets, piston rings and piston came in last week. Throwing down on it now and it's going good. She will be ready to drive hopefully by the weekend. I wish I wasn't so busy. I got sent home from work due to weather so I had time today, but man! I get a couple hours at the end of the day to tinker with it. Still though, engine stuff is so fun.

    He said that the 306 is an awesome cam too

    Congrats on all the toys If you come to chicago to the speed inc. open house in march, i would definitely like to see your set up....i'll be there

    After all is good, please post your thoughts on the 306 cam.....i'm still undecided on what kind of cam i want at this point.
    black 95 t/a, a4, beefed up tranny w/ higher stall converter, transgo shift kit, trans temp gauge, trans cooler, richmond 3.73's, loudmouth, hypertech programmer, 160 thermo, descreened maf, TB bypass and airfoil, trick flow intake elbow, underdrive pulleys, moroso cai, edelbrock panhard rod, bmr stb, slp sfc's, fiberglass firehawk hood, hawk pads, taylor wires, ngk plugs, royal purple fluids,...and hopefully more to come

      Will do man, I might make a trip out there if it fits my schedule. I would like to for sure. I gotta come and show lt1maro my tail lights anyway J/M man.

      I'll let you know about the cam. I heard nothing but awesome things about it. My conquest is now fully assembled, and next day I have a chance to work on it I'm pushing it in the garage and dropping it in. Should be in a couple days. Can't wait to pop the cam in. Hopefully it doesn't take too long

              I've heard mixed things. Either someone loved it or hated it. It seems like when you gave your description on how you wanted your setup, that it was pretty similar to what i eventually want. I would appreciate your input on that cam, another opinion never hurts.

                Thats awesome, my headers finally came yesterday in the mail and I got them installed on the block. I'm gonna bust some butt today and see if I can't get the engine into the car.

                  i already know what the tail lights look like on a fourth gen camaro. But i cant wait to see your head lights from my rear view mirror

                        I think it would be a bad idea to give me a couple of cars cause then ill end up beating you by a train. however if you wanna go heads up, ill try to keep to smoking down to a few cars for your ego's sake. LOL
