  • best headers for the money

    what are the best headers for the $450 range? ive looked as far as the BBK ceramic ones that have a y pipe. they seem good to me, i already have an SLP loudmouth exhaust and no cat. just looking for some umph out of this 94 LT-1
    2000 WS6 T/A M6. Monster stage 3 clutch, flowmaster cat back, 4.10's, SLP lid, Hurst shifter.

    pacesetter long tubes are under 400 coated i believe

      Hooker headers are also right around that price if im not mistaken. But with most long tubes, comes the clearance issue. If your car is I droped then you definetly want to stay away from long tubes. The AS&M are probably the best all around, but are priced pretty high. The next best thing would be the RK-Sport headers. $450 Coated w/Y-Pipe. You can't go wrong with that!

        How does your car sound with the SLP Loudmouth and no cat? I was just wondering because i'm debating if I should take my cat off or not.

          well at a steady no load (neutral) 4000 rpm's it is 119db, and when you let off it spikes to 126db. and that was measured at a state inspection station.
