  • NFB - Bed Covers

    OK -

This kind of sounds like a 'Pop vs Soda' debate... But where you are from, what is the common name for bed covers for pickup trucks?

    1: Shell
    2: Camper Shell
    3: Snugtop
    4: Topper
    5: Any others?

In California, they called them shells or snugtups. When I moved to Wisconsin, I kept hearing people say 'Topper' and wondered what the heck they were talking about.

Hope about in your neck of the woods?

A tonneau cover is a flat cover that typically attaches to the bed rails via snaps, velcro etc. to cover any cargo.

A Topper/camper shell is a large bed cover that is usually at least the height of the cab and permits much more interior room.
