  • Got some $$$ to spend

I finally found someone to buy my quad and dirtbike that have been sitting ever since i got my car. I figure with both of them sold i will have about 1900 dollars. I want to spend 1000, and put 900 into the bank. For the mods, i already have a couple bolt ons. I was thinking of buying, crane cams ignition plus coil, lower control arms, relocation brackets, slp short throw shifter, stainless steel grill insert. That probably totals to like 700, but is there anything better to by than that stuff to power up the car a little. Just wondering about some input. By the way, GT4 comes out in 5 days!!!

Along with the relocated LCA's you may want to consider subframe connectors to reduce body "twist" and a torque arm to plant the rear...Just my $.02.

A grand you say? Here's a quick list of my suggestiongs...

          For the welder-friendly

          SLP weld-on sub-frame connectors...$218.45 at LMPerformance
          Spohn poly-bushing chrome-moly LCAs...$150 at LMPerformance
Spohn LCA reloc. brackets...$65 at LMPerformance
          Spohn poly-bushing chrome-moly panhard rod...$105 at LMPerformance
1LE driveshaft...$224.78 at GMPartsDirect but watch out for the shipping charge (still cheaper than Pace though)
          SLP short-throw shifter...$99.95 at LMPerformance
          SLP shift knob...$34.95 at LMPerformance

          Total - $898.13 before any taxes, S&H
and you still have enough for GT4 if you don't already have it pre-ordered

For the non-welder-friendly (or if you don't have one)...
Simply add $95 to the cost of the SLP sub-frame connectors to get the bolt-on ones at LMPerformance
You could either leave the reloc. brackets out for now or take them down to an exhaust shop or general automotive shop and they can weld them in for you for about $30 or so. This might put you a little over-budget, but not by much.

Check Summit's prices also...they also do price matching and offer free ground shipping on all orders. Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the input, I will definetly look into those parts, i will most likely order from summit, cant beat free shipping. I would love to by the ZR1's but i think i'll just save up for those in the summer. I guess im pretty lucky because i work on a golf course, and sometimes in the maintenance shop, my boss taught me to weld, it will come into handy.

And I will still have money for GT4, Yessssssss ~Napoleon Dynamite~
