That is kind of a tough comparison. I rode in a few cars with Eibachs and wasn't happy with ride quality. The car seemed to bang around over rough pavement. I purchased these springs due to my primary goal of keeping a good ride quality and the good looks with race numbers secondary. I'm sure I would have chosen a different spring if I spent all my time on a road course. The car is a street driver so I sprung it that way. As far as the quality of the springs, I've never heard anything negative about them. They appear to be top quality and come recommended by other enthusiasts as well. I hadn't had any experience with them personally so I gave them a shot. Once I sort out a couple of minor issues, the result is a perfect blend for the street. The ride quality is so good that unless I get out of the car and look at it, I forget the car is lowered.

In my opinion, the stance is killer. It should have come that way from the factory.

Thanks Joe. I think you are steering me toward the Intrax springs. I do know I will never have LT headers on the car because I am going with mid-lengths because I must drop the car. I'm planning on the RK sport clones of the AS&M middies.

With yours and Fred's advice, I think I am making sense of this now.

These are my plans unless you guys tell me to change....

Bilstein shocks---339.99 full set from Thunder Racing

      LCA's and brackets

      Adjustable panhard rod

      Adjustable torque arm

I don't know the brands of these yet, but I may be able to get a package from Thunder Racing. They have several packages available.

BTW I have to change my tranny mount too, since I broke it the first time I got on it after putting the 3.73 gears in.

I do not know much about the Intrax springs but can offer my .02 on the Eibach springs. About six months back I put a new set of Eibach Sportline on my Eagle Talon and although it corners like a demon now the ride comfort level was ridiculous. Small pot holes, dips in the road or any type of degree made you feel like you were running over speed bumps at 20 mph. I loved the stance and the way it handled but in review I would say try something different and go for the Intrax. I know after reading Joe's post I will give them a shot on my F-Body to see how well it does, I will post more feedback when I get around to installing them

Okay. This is my tentative package. What do you think?

            Bilstein shocks

            Intrax springs

            Adj Torque Arm

            Spohn LCA's w/poly bushings

            Adj panhard rod

sub frame connectors ( are bolt on's OK or do I have to get weld on's? )

That's about it. What do you guys think?

I would go with weld-in SFC's. When would you want to take out the SFC becomes the question - so you might as well just weld them in. Install isn't that bad on the parts you've got listed. I just finished these myself, so if you have any questions, please PM me.

I appreciate it. I have the help of some decent wrenches as I am a novice. To be honest with you, though, the only things I am really concerned about are the sway bars as everything else seems pretty straight forward and somewhat easy to get to.

Can I have a muffler shop weld in the relocation brackets or does it take some special understanding?

Also, this is possibly the most important question I have, but.....what order should I do these mods. Number 1 must be shocks as the current ones are shot.

I would really like to do the springs too because they look great, but I have to say that I'm worried a bit about my 1/4 mile times.

                Help me out, guys.

Well, if you're in the guts of the car replacing shocks, you might as well do the springs, too. The rear springs are really easy, the fronts require a bit more labor intensive work. I had a local shop weld in my relocation brackets then did the rest myself. By lowering the car with the springs, you'll want to get those LCA's in to help with hooking up the tires. You'll probably want to then install the torque arm, as adjusting your pinion angle will help with launching. The panhard rod should take literally 20 minutes to do, so you might as well toss it on when you have a half hour.

I guess really what I'm saying is that one will seem to lead in to the next, and before you know it, you'll have it completed. But defenitely get the SFC's, etc. on to get the body not to "twist" and power to the ground, not left to tire hop...
