I wouldn't pay more than $150, that sounds fair. But, why not do it yourself? It is a very simple install. Shoot, if you can install spark plugs on an LT1, you can install a torque converter. Just 6 bolts on the bellhousing, and 3 converter bolts and it will slide right off the input shaft of the transmission.

If you need a more detailed explanation, I can PM you.

And the cross member, and the tranny lines, and the torque arm, and the driveshaft.

My personal opinion is you are living on borrowed time with your A4 as is. I think the converter is going to shorten the life even more.

Assumed these would be common sense.

I agree. Since you will already have the tranny out, might as well have it freshened up. Most places around here get about $650-$1000 to bench a 4L60E. You are going to have to rebuild it sooner or later, might as well get it over with and do it while it is out.

I had my trans rebuild in September 04. It's suppose to have up grades such as: Corvette servo, better clutches, shift kit and new wiring. I plan on up grading my torque converter to 3200. Will this be to much torque for my trans? l
