  • camaro symptoms

ok so, car runs fine to work in the morn. Car runs fine after work for about 1000 feet then SES light comes on and is blinking. The car(2001 SS) starts puttn along, no smoke or wierd noises just decent hesitation with sudden burst of power in the rpm range since my foot is down on the gas and the car is fighting me to go. Any ideas what this may be symptoms of? The light went away eventually on the way home and ran normal but it came back on after only about 30 seconds. All guages in the car read normal readings./

    Any help welcomed

Sounds like an ignition problem to me with the abrupt interruption of power you describe. Cylinder misfires will always make the SES light blink. Could be a bad plug wire, fouled plug, bad coil, etc.

Get it on a scanner and see what code it gives you.

That's similar to what happened to me with my sister's 96 Z when it chewed a plug wire. The only difference is that it would idle bad, but pull fine. Definitely get it scanned, but it sounds like misfire.
