  • Heater core

I was driving home from work tonight and as i was getting on the highway I floored it. I got up to about 75-80 mph then backed off. Right when I did I got a huge whiff of antifreeze. My defroster was on and normally I'll smell a little bit of antifreeze until it warms up all of the way. This time all of the windows fogged up and the smell remained constant. I'm thinking it's time for a new heater core. How much fun can I plan on having replacing this thing?

From what I have read, it is not all that hard, just a little snug. Don't forget to remove a retaining screw on the pipes in the engine compartment.
