  • Kumho/Falken Tires & Times

I was thinking of switching from the Kumho high performance tire to the Falken all season tire because they are EVEN cheaper, and have more tread life. Does this REALLY effect quarter mile times, and if so by how much?

Well first thing that comes to mind for me is that the tires will actually be a harder compund rubber. Which in turn will make them harder to hook up. If you already have wheel spin problems, this will only make it worse. The other way to go about it is buy some cheap rims for tha back and bring em to the track with ya. Put some good hooking street tires on them and just change them out when you want to race. Cheapest solution IMO and a good trade off for longer lasting cheaper tires. But as the saying goes...You get what you pay for...
