I'm getting ready to buy a full set of Billstein shocks for 295.00 I looked in my maintenance file the other day and realized in 01 I bought two shocks for 40 bucks! That is one heck of a price difference. I am lowering my car, though so maybe I need them?

Do you guys think the Bilstein shcoks are over kill for a 98% daily driven car with the occassional spirited drive? Am I buying a race-car type shock. I am wondering if there is some middle ground with shocks?

Any ideas on other brands or is it best to stick with the Bilsteins.
