ya see...we got this new neighbor ..been there since last summer. I think they are hispanic, which, there is nothing wrong at all with at whatsoever... and i think they got money, cause the house they bought is loaded, pool and everything... and they have two brand new Avalanche's........ anywho....

first they built a chicken coop.....soon the the area reaked of chicken sh!!...and all we heard was buccc bucc bucc........and Keona was drooling and eyeing the fence real close......... (some of yall remember this way back when i posted about them, i asked the guy are those chickens.and he said "no......quail")....... well..this is a residential area.. you cant raise "livestock or stuff" like that here...so the neighbors reported them... and yes..they got busted..and had to get rid of the friggin chickens and take down the smelly coop. Then they got two goats.... i was at the back fence out of the fenced area where Keona and the goldens were and asked him nicely... "are those goats".........."no" he says....lamma's............ ...he must think im pretty stupid.......

well..... we......the good neighbors called......and he got busted for goats.......

so this afternoon.......im out playing in the backyard with the goldens and Keona......and i notice he's standing by the fence ....(20 yrds away)...he says....."is that wolf"?.......i looked up..and said "he!! no....thats a husky mix!!!!!!!! he walked away. it was then.....i realized..that Keona was smelling something in the snow...and bent over towards where his viewing point was..... i duplicated it with the digi cam......... so here it is..........

Honest officer.........it's a husky mix (wolfdogs are not illegal here..im in no trouble... but ......a wolf..........naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh it aint no wolf.......LOL)

I would definitely hate to see her comin' at me from that angle . Sucks CA says its illegal to own a wolfdog...would love to have a white one. Take it easy man.

domestic quail is awesome as is the wild bird.. (eating).. the eggs are very delicate and delicious.

this dudes quail were nothing but pure chickens.......


and they smelled up the our hood!!!!!!!!!!

Can you find out what it is for Alameda County? Last I looked it was not legal, but that was just a quick glance and I probably missed something.

I bet that's one big tongue though. lol Probably leave a yard of slober lol

actually, they dont slobber at all....drool sometimes right before a treat...thats about it. our golden retrievers slobber though.....but nothing like some breeds....

Ownership of pure wolves is illegal except by the few people qualifying for a valid permit from Fish and Game. Among the criteria for such a permit are rigid requirements for facilities and experience in raising such animals, along with approval of the USDA. "Any F1 (first) generation wolf hybrid whelped on or before February 4, 1988 may be possessed under permit from the department. No state permit is required to possess the progeny of F1 generation wolf hybrids, but cities and counties may prohibit possession or require a permit."


If you call the Alameda ACO office (animal control officer), Im certain they can give you the scoop.

If you decide you want one, lets talk a while first.... you best start with a low content... I can also help you get one thru adoption, it wont cost you anything. It will require a home check though, which is standard by most repsponsible breeders too.

That looks awefully familiar. Maybe I missed the "pure" part. Oh I know about the slobber part, believe me lol. My mom's pointer-rotweiler mix has some jowls and boy do they let sloober fly when she shakes her head lol . For right now, I wouldn't have the time to properly raise one since I'm working 6-7 days a week. I would feel despicable to go through the adoption process and not be able to give him or her the attention he/she needs and deserves. However, given a little more time, I will definitely hit you up. Seeing pictures my mom used to get from the Lakota pack was always a neat thing, so I would love to have wolfdog roaming the keep with me . Thanks for the info Ken.
