Guys I have an issue that I need a little help with. Sometimes when cruising around town ( non-highway ) my SES light comes on and I hear a slight buzzing noise coming from the engine compartment. Sounds like a fan, or actually a lawnmower off in the distance. Anyway it isn't the fan and there is no adverse condition with the gauges, temp is good, oil pressure is good, idling nicely.

Any ideas of what this could be? It's very irritating. Could it be the EGR?

It could be several things. Without getting it scanned, anything is just a guess. If you don't want to throw money at it hoping to figure it out, you have to get is scanned.
