  • Gauge mounted in vents

When mounting 2 5/8 in gauges in the 3 A/C vent holes on a 95 TA, could you use these 12 degree angled install rings.

I don't think so. And I don't think they would be necessary, nor would they look good. Mine mounted up just fine and are easy to see. Fred has the same setup, except for nitrous. I used the ultralights.

      Gotcha,

I seem to be having gauge problems, and from what i read the factory gauges are , well shell we say, crap. I already ordered the a-pillor pod for 2 gauges. My question is, what would be a good gauge config. Having a a-pillor pod for 2 and the 3 holes available for the air vents.

My oil pressure was reading about 5 psi at idle, i changed the sender and and now its 0 at idle and I get the check gauges light. But when you give it throttle it does move up. My temp is off by about 15 degrees.

It would be interesting to see how the 12deg bezels would work. I ususally don't have any problem reading the gauges, but on rare occasions you get some reflection.

I don't think the stock gauges are "crap".... my stock oil pressure gauge is dead on compared to my AutoMeter mechanical, the dash coolant gauge is within 5-10deg of the PCM reading at all times, and that can be accounted for by the difference in location. The volt meter is up to 1V different than the PCM readout for system voltage, but I have a third source for system voltage in my MoTeC ECU, and that shows a 3rd voltage value, different from the others. I think that difference can be accounted for by where the system picks up the reading, which is different in each case.

        I have:

        A-pillar:
        -trans fluid temp, electronic
        -oil temp, electronic

        Dash vents:
        -fuel pressure, electronic
        -nitrous pressure, mechanical
        -oil pressure, mechanical

        Other:
        -5" tach
        -LT1 Scanmaster
-real time display from the MoTeC when laptop is connected

        It's called "information overload"....

That is a nice dash. I dont need some of the gauges you have because my TA is pretty much stock. My thoughts were to put the volts, oil press-mech, and water temp-elec, in the air vents. Then to put a vacum-mech and air/fuel ratio or trans temp (what range?) in the a-pillor. Its said to say but if the oil pressure gauge wasnt giving me so much greif i would more then likey save the $200 and get something else other then gauges. But i figure if i have to do one i should just go on and do the rest.
