  • Has anyone changed a Heater Coil in a 96 T/A?

My heater in my 96 T/A is not blowing hot air.
i smell anti-freeze in the car and i have changed the thermostat.
I think my heater coil is bad. is this hard to change?

any more ideas? Please, i need input.
    THANKS!

On the 95 now, i didnt have to take out the dash, you take out the glove box and the heater box cover, its all right there on the passenger side of the car. You take the hose clamps off the hoses under the hood, then there is a bolt that holds the 2 lines together, take that out to. Then its free, its like a jigsaw puzzle to turn and twist to get it out. It goes in alot easier then it comes out because you already figured out the pattern. Good luck, you wont have any troubles. Mine was about a 2 hour job.
