NFB - Tire question for Ken

My dad's Lincoln Town Car has 225/70TR16 Michelin Symmetry radials on it with whitewalls that are in need of replacement.

What should he replace them with? He is not opposed to changing the size of the tire as long as it doesn't screwup his speedometer.

The Symmetry tires are on national backorder. I looked on tirerack and could not find any other tires that size with a whitewall.

dont change the size, alot of engineering went into the right size tire to make the Town Car handle and ride like a dream for its size and weight.

Michelin makes the best tire for those type of cars.

Believe it or not, tirerack still stocks them. I found a set of four.

I learn now that these specific tires have a special side wall designed specifically for limosine use. My fathers car is a "L" town car with a factory 6" stretch between the doors. It also has radio and heat controls in the back seat as well as vanity mirors and you can even move the front passenger seat forward from the back seat.
