  • Anyone Take USPS Exam????

Is wreckless driving on your driving record considered a felony conviction by the USPS? (This was from 4.5 years ago, and I have currently 0 to 2 points- probably 0 points now.) I took the exam test, and got my scores back, and it said ineligible by my basic, and final rating. It says on the sheet scores below 70 are not reported. I answered all question on the exam in the time alotted, and thought the exam was easy, so no way I didn't have a good score. I was expecting easily in the 90 to 100 perecnt range. I'm trying to call the office up, and having a hard time getting information, and speaking to the right person. There's not even a phone number on this exam score sheet. The whole thing is super vague. They need to explain what they mean by ineligible.

9 years ago I took a harder postal exam (a different 1), and had two different scores like a 84, and a 86 percent. (I got a rating THEN.)

I took a civil service exam a few years ago before I moved up here to Canada. I was trying to get on with a police department. While taking the test, I thought I was doing really well...turned out I only scored like 79? I was pretty disappointed. I was still on the eligible list, but just closer to the bottom than the top. I dunno, man...maybe you didn't do as well as you thought you did? Just a guess. I don't think your wreckless driving would have been a felony, unless you injured or killed someone...or caused a large monetary amount of damage while in the commision of the offense. You would have done a bit of time if it had been a felony. They don't just ticket for those. Just keep calling and try to get someone to tell you what's up. I wish you luck, man. I know what it is like to want a job that is that hard to get.

I believe that they only count DOT records from the past 3 years, and reckless driving (depending on where you are) is either a simple traffic violation or possibly a misdemeanor. The other thing they look at is how many accidents (chargeable or not) you have had, if you are applying for a position that requires operating a company vehicle.

I would be more apt to think that you failed the test. You have to remember something about government exams, there are 4 answers. The right answer, the wrong answer, the stupid answer, and the government's answer. They want the government's answer

A lot of times the stupid answer is the government's answer.
