  • Looking to buy an F-Body!

Hello, i am a new member who has also been viewing as a guest for quite a while. I have been looking very hard for an F-Body and have been Struggling to find the right one. I have about 10,5 for one. Looking for a 98-newer (like the newer front ends and LS1 of course). T-tops, Leather, Auto, under 70k miles, and must be very clean. First TA i went to see was a 98 with 63k miles. Drove 1.5 hours for this. WHole car had been repainted (Accident most likely) and the repaint was horribly done. It came with vette rims, custom hood (looked like firehawk) custom exhaust and some other mild performance parts. Too bad it was messed up with the paint. I also looked at one other when i was down there. It was a 99 TA with 49kmiles. Dark blue (my favorite). It was very clean and about all stock. Too bad it already had a deposit down on it! Just called on another one today even. It was a 01 Z28 with 60k miles. The dark blue and had an SS hood. Had cloth though. Anyone know of any f-bodys out there for sale that would fit my likes? I prefer the TA over the camaro but would take either. Any help would be appreciated. Like mainly the darker colors. Thanks a lot in advance. Im in MI by the way. Lower eastern about 1 hour from Detroit.

Sorry for the book, just once i start typing i get on a roll. Ha

Welcome to the board man. This has gotta be one of the best places for info. on the F-body. Check Autotrader.com, eBay sometimes has some good stuff on it and the local paper...those would probably be the best places. Jay's thinking about selling his 02 TA, but I think he want's more than $10.5k for it. Good luck in your search man and welcome again to the board...officially lol.

Was that going for around $10,500 too?? That sounds like a heck of a find to me. You must be very particular about your cars to pass it up just because of cloth interior. But to each his own. Keep looking though because the car that you are looking for is out there.

Hello yes i am kind of picky about my find due to my dad being a car dealer. We would need something that would hold its value and still be able to resell. We bought my sisters 95 Z28 in 00 with 30 k miles for 10,5 and jsut sold it last summer with 50 k for 8,5 so it held its value quite well. The cloth just does not sell at the auctions my dad says and plus i really like the leather. Yea the z28 was about 11 ish due to miles. Im pretty sure theres a car out there with my wants at about a 99 with 50 ish k miles. Its just...... WHERE IS IT! Thanks Jay, ill check out that site. I wish i could jsut buy yours but its a little too new. Thanks for your help so far guys.
