I believe the SLP's you are referring to are the triangular style. They are stronger than the regular subframe connectors, but they also reduce ground clearance and obviously cost more. The general consensus is that a daily driven, "weekend warrior" car does not need triangular or double-diamond style subframe connectors as they are overkill. They are more suited to full on track cars, whether drag racing or autocross.

I don't care too much for SLP. Not many things I would buy from them. I would go with spohn over them, that's just me. Actually, I would buy BMR, that's all I have ever bought, they have a great rep. SLP comes off as a company that overcharges because of their name. And I heard bad things about the fitment of their headers... I know that's off topic but I've heard about people having to bend the Y pipe, etc...

To me, the SLP's look like clones of the Kenny Brown Double Diamonds, but cost quite a bit less than the KBDD's. In that respect, they look like a good deal, for the price. The triangulated design is probably more suited to Auto-X and road racing, than to drag racing, and seeming overkill for "daily driving". And, the "X" parts can interfere with some dual or LT exhaust systems, and make the fitment of a front TA mount like the Spohn a little more difficult.

Unless you see the need for some degree of overkill, I'd just opt for the Spohn connectors.

Ummm, the whole reducing-ground-clearence thing is a joke. If you look at them installed on a TA, the ground effects hide them. On my Z, they're not that much further down than the rocker panels and the cat is lower than them anyways. I'd go with the SLP weld-on ones if you're gonna weld, they're only $229 and you still get the crossmember. Check them out...

Fred is correct about the torque arm and LT header problems that can arise. That's the price you pay for the design. But, they're definitely better for handling than the Spohn units. Just my 2 cents.

I had spohn install kbdd's on my ride. The spohn torque arm is now
                really low to the ground

I put the Kenny Browns on my 95 Vert.... Best mod I ever did. I didnt realize there was such a thing as "overkill" when it came to stiffening the unibody chasis.

Some of the, if not the, best suspension parts for the 4th Gen. and 3rd Gen. F-bodies. I love the LCAs and Panhard Bar that I've got.
