i ordered flowpac last week (Cold-Air Induction Kit, High-Flow Air-Box Lid, F-Body Smooth Bellows, and K&N Air Filter) , i haven't recieve yet.then this morning i read this from thunder racing "SLP Ram-Air Induction Package, 1998-2002 LS1 & 3.8L V6 F-Body ,It will work great in conjunction with your Whisper Induction Lid and K&N Filter! (Not recommended for SS or WS6 models)

is that true or Cold-Air Induction Kit is not the same with SLP Ram-Air Induction ?

SLP says nothing about it, so I'd get a hold of Thunder and see why they don't recommend it for the SS and WS6 models (wonder why they left out the Firehawk). SLP is usually pretty good about warning its customers about incompatabilities and such, so it couldn't hurt to give them a call too. Who did you order from?

Gotcha. I'd just give SLP and Thunder a call and see what they say. Hope this helps. Take care man.

I think I can answer this one...

the bellow is fine...the lid is fine...even the filter is fine. But it's the CAI that I think is the problem...

In my car, it requires you to cut into a panel that blocks off the radiator and AC condensor...a "CAI" panel fits in front of the radiator and ACC, acts like a scoop so induction is directly from "cold" air from front of the car...the reason I think it doesn't work with or not recommended for SS, WS6 cars is because it requires you to use a rubber block off in front of the air box...with SS and WS6 cars, the box is raised much higher than regular TAs and Z28s..not to mention V6s. I don't see how the "CAI" would help SS and Ws6 seeing how most if the air being inducted is outside anyway...probably why it isn't recommended.

Here's a link to the CAI:

Here's the instructions for the installation of the CAI:

            hope this helps...
