Could be a warped rotor clicking against the pad?

well it only happens when the car is any of the drives and reverse. when the car isnt moving(idling). i dont think its a rotor because it doesnt happen when its in neutral. its annoying and beyond me

Back in the old days i would have said you had a rock in your hubcap.... Did you check the wheel studs, all the bolts on the hub assy., etc...... have you hit any really large pot holes recently with that wheel?

If I understand the problem properly, it only happens when the car is in motion right, not when it is stationary?

If thats the case then it's likely something in the front tire assembly. What I would suggest is trying to make the car swerve from side to side to see if the sound comes and goes. It could be any number of things from a loose wheel nut to worn out pads to a bad wheel bearing. If you can get the noise to come and go or change pitch by swerving back and forth then a competent shop ought to be able to figure it out for you.

no only when stationary then the noise fades if i let off the brake and let it roll in drive
