I don't know what is worse, 87 rattlesnakes or that big gator! I think I would be watching my step the next few days at work!

The rattlesnakes are worse. Gators don't like being around people and usually retreat. Unless you are encroaching on their territory or breeding/feeding ground that is....... I've been chased a few times by gators and it really isn't too big of a deal. The rattlesnakes are a different animal. They are everywhere and easy to step on, which is the number one occurance of rattlesnake bites. You don't see them until it's too late.

If I were the guy that found either of those, there would have been a brown streak on the ground for about a hundred yards in the opposite direction. Neighbors would have reported hearing what sounded like a 10 year old girl on steroids screaming from the window of a passing car. There would have been 2 movements: A bowel movement, and a physical movement...."S#!T, SNAKE!!" RUN!!

We have alot of Cottonmouth's (Water Moccasin) here on the lake I live on. They are really aggressive towards humans. Some of our neighbors have weekend places down here and live out of town full time. They don't always have the chance to make it down here on the weekend to mow the grass so we sometimes do it for them. Well just the other day I had just finished mowing part of their large backyard and I stopped for a drink of Gatorade. All of the sudden I hear an eerie "rustling noise" behind me in some of the longer grass! I instantly turned around and I must have jumped 5 feet in the air as the snake quickly whicked right past me and slithered into the water!

Poisonous snakes and spiders and I don't get along!

Wow thats wonderful, I've never been to florida before and I'm going there on the 14th of April. Gonna be landing at that airport as a matter of fact. Ratllesnakes are no big deal being from New Mexico, but the gator, thats a different story. The culvert of sankes looks like stuff you see a round here.

When I was a kid, my cousin and I were fishing in the creek at my grandmothers house when this water moccasin came swimming up the creek. It went by us and got to the pipe that went under the road that made a water falls about 3 feet tall. It couldn't figure out how to continue so it swam to our side of the bank. I looked at my cousin and said time to go. So I packed up, walked up the embankment took a couple of steps, stepped over a barbed wire fence, took a step and a water moccasin took off from in front of me heading to my right. It must have been 6-7 foot long. I took off running. My cousin said I one handed the wooden gate. I had the fishing rod and tackle box in my right hand. I never looked back. It scared the holy crap out of me. I must have almost stepped on it. I won't go down there unless I'm armed like Rambo. I'm just glad that snake was scared of me.

hahaa.. That's awesome. I would of probably tried to catch it. I was like Steve Irwin when I was younger. I can't even count how many different snakes tasted my blood.. Luckily were poisonous.

Though my buddy got bit by his pet cobra

Yeah, he's also the kid who had a 5ft Camen Alligator that had run of his room. I went over there once at feeding time, and he chucked a rat in the room and closed the door..

Heard lots of banging and stuff, went in, and it looked like a murder scene. It was insane.

Here's a news story from when he got bit by his cobra:
