hey everybody i have a black 98' firebird and i decided to get a predator hood for it they look pretty cool. so i was just wonderin if any1 could give me some information about these predator hoods or give me a site that has information. thanks alot!

I'll give you one bit of info that would concern me:
they have not been crash tested in accordance with DOT's office of safety compliance regulations. so..if you have a front on collision, be sure to duck down behind the dash......or you may end up topless...from the neck up.

Yeowww. Gives new meaning to duck and cover. Seriously though, do a search on this forum and you will get pleanty of hits. Also look at ebay for sellers.Link I was interested in changing out my hood to the WS6 style, but after hearing horror stories about fit and finish i scrubed the idea. Look for quality and a good reputation from the manufacturer. I am sure others will chime in with success stories but be careful. SunCoast makes the Predator hood, but it is only for 93-97 Firebirds. If you want something similar for the 98+, they call it the Raptor. The SunCoast stuff is really hit-or-miss on fit and quality. I have seen some real horror stories of hoods that don't fit, were not properly "cured", damaged in shipping, etc.

me too. i didnt get into that......yet. i had real argument with the owner in atlanta at our first gathering.... he had no explanations for all the problems in quality control....
