After a ton of research I have finally picked up my new gun.....not all shiney and chrome or anodized like those bob longs and auto cockers, certainly not expensive.

Has been described as the first high end gun under 300, while mine was 300,
smart parts ION......wow! and then some. Talk about a factory perfect gun out of the box with 20 balls a sec. and then fully automatic, and dead accurate with the stock barrel. I threw mine together with a halo hopper and it is just brutal, and very very quiet. All you paint freaks out there will appreciate this.

speaking of paintball... the kids in the neighborhood are shooting eachother and playing with something that looks like miniture paint ball guns... what ever its shoots, its realy tiny.... anybody know what it is? its not pelets or anything.

I saw what you are talking about the other day at the local gun shop. They shoot little yellow plaistic/foam balls fron air guns. You can buy the pellets reall cheap. They dont hurt my oponent enough for my taste.

there are also different caliber paint balls. Most guns use a .68 cal.
But they do make various side arms and desert eagle reps that shoot much smaller rounds.

good! cause they are shooting at everything... even other little kids...

better not catchem shooting at any of my animals though..."hurt" or not....

Those are called Air Soft guns, if I am not mistaken. My brother had one for a while. They can look like real guns, depending on which one you get. My bro's looked just like an MP4 (?) Pretty crazy, but yeah, they don't hurt (much) to be shot with. They can also be quite expensive, Troy paid over 300 for his. Then he came to his senses and sold it to a buddy for almost that much. Expensive toys.

I go out periodicly and help train SP's on base before they head down range, it's called 'brave defender' corse or something.. teaching the basics of communitcation and combat. I get to be 'OPFOR' (opposing forces) and try to kill them, we use miles gear and m16/m4's with blanks. They used to let us hump the m249 but to many people were ing about how heavy it was.
But yeah, it's probley pretty realistic.
