    Recommend a mail-order tune...

    Can someone out there help me decide on a mail order tune. I'm needing to get my speed limiter removed and correct for new gears.

    How long will I be without my car is my first question.

    My second one is what do I do when I add another mod? Is it $300 or so every time it's flashed?

    Something that is easier for future mods would be good!

      You pay the tuner a deposit up front and he will just send you a PCM with the desired programming. Then when you receive the "programmed" PCM, your only downtime will be the 30 min or less involved in swapping the PCM's.

      Then you are responsible for shipping back your original PCM to the tuner.

      If you plan on doing headers a new tune will help to maximize power gains but it is not a neccesity. However, if you decide to do internal modifications (heads, cam, etc.) it is required that you have the PCM tuned to accept your new setup.
