The temp on my car will sometimes go up a bit while setting in traffic, but if I increase the rpm's a some the temp goes back down right away. What I'm wondering is could the waterpump be about ready to die and just not flowing fast enough while idoling? Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated.

I have a 160 thermostat and the pcm has been programmed to turn on the second fan at 192 and off at 185. The temp didn't used to go up in traffic, it was always pretty solid. Just wondering if anyone else has had a waterpump do this, or if I need to look elsewhere?Comment

I have not heard of one failing to pump.
