Did anyone pick up the "new gen lt1s or the old carbed lt1s". I found that a little interesting. Carbed LT1?

          yes.

the code "LT1" was also used in the mid 70's on Corvettes and Camaros to indicate an engine option. Those "LT1" cars were carbeurated.

GM decided to re-use the LT1 code in 1992 with the new GENII motor in the Corvette, which ended up in our f-bodies.

And just to nit pick.... the 1970-73 carbed engine used in the Camaros and Corvettes was the "LT-1".... note the hyphen. The 92-97 engine is the "LT1".... no hyphen.
