I was told if I would put forge piston and redo the short block the engine would still produce high number. Is this true? The option was to build a 383 stroker. Well the price is steep. So what will the noticeable different would be between the two?

Increasing the displacement to 383 will increase horsepower.

Replacing the stock internals with better quality items is a good idea, but in itself will not gain any horsepower if the displacement is left at 350.

The difference in price between replacing the stock rotating assembly with forged internals and stroking it is minimal. The only extra cost would be in the machine work to clearance the block....
