got an 98 audi a6 1.8 turbo and i must say i m impressed, the thing has got everything, even lights under the doors and under front seats, under dash , drives well

The steering wheel's on the wrong side of the car!
OK....I know this is a newbe question, but if you have a right hand driver with a manual transmission.....where is first gear? Let's assume it is a four speed. Here in the good old USA first gear would be "top left" assuming you are sitting in the "normal" left side. Where is it on the other side of the pond?

That's a very nice car. I really don't like Audi's new look with their latest cars....you know......the ones with an Edsel front end But the older ones like yours have classic good looks. I hope you enjoy it. Your pocket book will when you have to buy gasoline.

well, everything is the same, pedals, gears, turn signal, its just moved on the right side. The worst thing is that theres not much of a footrest..and shifting to second wich I always liked has to be done with the left hand nothing you cant get used to
My daughter just bought a new Jetta 2.5L that looks alot like your Audi. Even has lite bulbs all over when you open a door. Hers has the steering wheel on the left side though.
