So, in my last adventure I discovered that I was missing a header bolt in front of #2 cyl. The bracket on the alt was still there, so I have to assume that the bolt was left out on the header install. I got the car with them on already, and they look to be a couple years old. Edelbrock shorties. So now, I believe that the header gasket is sucking air which has been causing my miss when throttle is applied.
Long story short, do I just replace the header gasket and bolt, or do I convert to a new set of better headers? Like AS&M's maybe. I am really torn here, on one hand I would like to know for sure that the headr flange is not warped and going to cause me more grief, and on the other, the work/money involved is not small. So my question is, what would you do? Thanks folks.
