I'm definitely not going to quit my day job. The truck lid bubbled as soon as I sprayed the base coat. I called my buddy who has 25 years painting experience. He said it was from a thing they call "quick build up". He said there is nothing I could do about it, it just happens. So I got out the D/A sander and removed all the paint on the deck lid. I'll probably shoot it again tonight or tomorrow depending on if this rain goes away. Regardless, it is fun to learn. Give me a sense of satisfaction to be doing my own painting. I shaved the antenae and mounted it between the trunk and the rear fascia. Now I have to fiberglass in the hole. Oh, I can't wait to attempt that one. Here are a couple of shots from yesterday. I wish the sun would come out so I could get some better shots.
