  • Zaino Help.............

Hello, I have just put two coats of Zaino ZFX/Zaino2 on my Z28. What do you guys reccomend at this point, does it get some type of protective caranuba wax or what.
Also my car is rarely driven and usually does not see rain, how long does the Zaino last.
So far it looks good but not really any better than products I have used in the past, but it does go on easy and wipe off easy. Thats a big plus.
    Thanks

no no no..dont wax over the top of zaino!!!!!!!! zaino is 99% optically perfect... wax is only 80%... you reduce your gloss factor way down .....and its a waste of money and time... zaino is much more durable than wax. zaino layers, wax has solvents, you remove the previous coat when you apply a new coat..and... when you wash the car, it disolves the gloss factor of the carnuba....

i zainoed my dads tahoe when i visited him in NC, a year later, i zainoed it again.. he got compliments all year.

you have a white car, results take longer for true depth of the paint, just like it did on my silver Comp T/A... its a better product that wax by far... you will find out...

    wax does not do this:

nor does wax fill swirl marks..and stay.

The Zaino is VERY durable and protects better than anything else I've ever used too. The shine is only the immediate thing noticed, other than the ease of use. Keeping the finish maintained will also be alot easier with the Zaino. You can get a shine from almost any product, at least until the silicones and oils dry out or it rains. Zaino won't wash off.

I just did 2 coats of Z5 in the last 2 days.... first new coats on the car in over a year and a half. The car looks 10X better than when it was brand new. Not bad for a car approaching 11 years old, that actually sat outside for almost 3 years. Mine seldom sees the rain now, and it can sit in the garage for 6 months, a quick flick with a California Duster, a few squirts of Z6 and it looks perfect. I figure 2 or 3 more Z5's and then 2 coats of Z2 and it will be all set for the rest of the season. Would like to try the Z8 though.....

When the car was new, I used the Meguiar's #26 Professional High-Tech Yellow wax, and that stuff would take a full day to apply and buff off, and would only last for 3 months if I was lucky. With the Zaino, I can go a year without adding more, wash the car with the Zaino soap, rinse it well, and the water still beads so completely that most of it rolls off the car, and I can use an air nozzle on my compressor to blow the rest off.
