Ok i've got a 97 Firebird V6 3.8 and i really wish i could get a good deep sounding exhaust... but i don't know of anything that has sounded good. Is it a waste of my money to even bother to try and get exhaust or is there something other there that sounds good? HELP me i'm goin crazy. I heard one the other day but itsound a lil better then a rice burner but still sounded like crap what do you think? IT's bone stock for now

The problem that you will find is that the small displacement motors won't have the deep bellow like a v8. The best sounding exhaust I've heard for the V6 is the Borla rear section. It is a muffler and tips only....... not the adjustable cat-back. Someone at the local autozone has this setup and for a V6 it sounds decent. Others that I've heard sound too ricey.

You could try ATR, they might have something for you. Their systems make the GN sound very mean, and its the same size, bore and stroke motor as yours. Couldn't hurt to check them out. The website is www.atrperformance.com and their number is on the site.Steve

Here's a sound clip of the ATR setup on a GN. Not bad for a 6
