  • Is this what I am looking for for lowering the car?

I was on ebay and came across this product. Never heard of UMI. I ordered my intrax springs and am trying to get the other items that I need ordered. Do these look OK for the weld in brackets. I know that I need LCA's too. His prices seem very good.

Sometimes that is a bad thing.

Yes, those will work just fine. I personally would prefer something powdercoated for lasting looks, but that's up to the individual. You could even go with these:

BMR Bolt ons that don't require any welding........I happen to use them on mine.

Thanks Joe. I had before gotten advice to get the weld in brackets. I don't know what the difference is since they are both designed to do the same thing. Are the weld-ins stronger?

Is it correct that when I am getting the LCA's I should be looking for non-adjustable?

Weld in would ultimately be strongest, one would have to determine the intended useage. For a street car that isn't running 10s, I feel the BMR bolt ons are just fine. As far as adjustable lower control arms, you would want those if you plan on adjusting the rear track relative to the front. Most times there isn't any need for adjustable LCAs. Now the torque arm and panhard rod need to be adjustable. Changing the ride height changes the centering of the rear because of the geometry of the stock suspension. You'll need the adjustable panhard rod to re-center the rear from side to side, the adjustable torque arm to reposition the pinion angle for better traction and longevity.

I run BMR LCAs, LCA brackets, Double adjustable PHR, Adjustable Torque Arm, intrax springs, airlift bags and DeCarbon shocks. It's lowered, it hooks and the ride is great.

Thanks man. I just ordered KYB shocks for the car and the springs, LCA's and brackets are on the way. I can't wait to see it finished!

Also getting a nitrous kit installed in the next two weeks!
