  • Strengthening the stock rearend

I was just wondering if anyone has had luck with using moser replacement axles and a differential girdle. I dont really want to mess with a complete axle swap. I could not find any old posts with the information I was looking for and just wondered if that combo would hold up. I will be behind an m6 powered by a 460 horse 383.

I hate to tell you this man, but it's gonna break. There are people with stock motors breaking 10 bolts with 6 speeds (just like I did), and with as much power as you have, you will be slinging parts. I have a friend down here with the same setup, except he's making a little more power than you. Even with 4.10's he broke his 10 bolt. And with 3.73's. And with 3.42's. Two of those were on street tires, and one was on Nittos. It's gonna break. You need a 12 bolt.

10 bolts are useless. I broke mine only 35k into the car with my KD's and some exhaust and intake. It doesn't take much to break them. And if you got an A4 watch out for that too! I blew that sucker to pieces.
