The SS Ute should have been brougt to the US market before the GTO. They would have sold out on those. A modern day ElCamino right smack in the middle of a SUV and Truck buying binge. leave it to the General to miss the mark.

There's been many a rumor over the Ute coming to the US. Holden certainly has a killer car line-up. GM has all but officialy made them the center for RWD development (performance or otherwise) since they're the only one's who had an active RWD development program in recent history.

They've recently been flogging a CTS in order to refine the chassis using lower cost materials for a low cost RWD mid-size performance coupe. New GTO most likely....and hopefully a piggy-back Camaro development program.
