  • Paint question....sticky situation....

I'm coming to you now with some humility....stupidity over-ruled my common sense today....

In a spout of laziness I threw my used gum out the window during a long drive. 140 Miles later I find it stuck to my door. Mother Nature is a cruel avenger!! I pulled off all I could, but I don't want to use anything harsh to get the rest off. I'm sure Goo-Gone would get it off, but I want to be pretty careful with the paint.

    Any Suggestions??

I would just try your normal wax, cleaner wax, or bug & tar remover.

i'd agree with kevin on this one. the bug and tar remover especially should work, and i know with overspray on the giant black plastic piece between the cab and the rear hatch, rain-x's fast wax removed everything, all sticky substances and overspray and made it really shiny. Not sure if rain-x makes it anymore, but it was in a black bottle if that helps at all.
