keyless remote replacement.....

Hello my keyless remote is almost shot. I have seen the newer style remotes online like are used on 2002 Camaros. Will this newer remote work with my older 1995 or do I have to have the old type. How do you configure the remotes for them to work.

I tried to use a '98-'99 remote on my '94 and it didn't work. I believe they are different systems/frequency ranges. I think ours is made by TRW...I was able to get my Windstar's remote to work with it, but not the '98+. It's probably because of the different manufacturer.

I got mine on ebay. It was pretty cheap, and brand new. But that was years ago when my '94 wasn't THAT old. I'm sure you'll still find a few.

I may have one and the guy I bought my car from may have one. I put an alarm in mine so I don't use it. We are bothing looking for them. I'll let you know.

The guy I bought the car from threw out the other remote because I had told him I didn't need it. I still have one thought. Let me know if you want it.
