  • Stock plug gap correct?

    I was told .045 is this correct? Is this gap reccomended?
    1997 6-spd WS6 Trans Am

      If it is a non-platinum plug and you gap it at .045, then it will wear into .050, then .055 after a while. Good idea to gap slightly smaller than spec, especially on these cars where the plugs are hard to change. If it's double platinum, then just use the correct gap.
