  • Re-gearing

I was thinking of re-gearing my '86 T/A but need more information. I was thinking of going 3.73 (I have an A4 Transmission). I was also wondering how regearing is done, where I should bring the car to get it done, and roughly how much it would cost, and as always other suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

3.73's would be a good choice, but I wouldnt go any higher. Bring it to a reputable tranny/driveline shop.....preferably one that has a reputation for taking care of hot-rods/street machines. The gears should run around 500-600 bucks installed the right way.
