Plus autos are better for boosted cars, allowing the booster to keep a higher amount of boost on the motor during shifts. For example, the GN drops hardly any boost at all on a shift (auto, TH200-4R) yet stick cars need a special valve to accomplish this same thing. Autos may be more expensive, but when you're sitting in stop-and-go traffic for almost 2 hrs. and not going fast enough to even let off the clutch in 1st, an auto sure does seem like a better deal. Not as fun as rowing the gears, but not slow by any means. Heck, look at GNs running 9-second passes on stock body weight with some bolt-ons
