  • Rear wheel bearings.......

I think I need to replace my rear wheel bearings. I searched around for info in the forum and everything I found was for front wheel bearings. Can you guys tell me what I need to buy, and what I need to do to replace these on my car?

    Any help is appreciated.

I did it in the driveway. It's really no big deal. It was a total of about $20 for new Timken bearings and seals, and I borrowed the bearing puller/pusher from Auto Zone.

Support the rear well on jack stands, cause there is a lot of pulling and driving of the bearings.
    Take off the wheel.
Unbolt the caliper and remove the rotor.
Drain the pumpkin and remove the cover.
    Remove retaining bolt.
Push in axle and remove c clip, pull out axle.
    Pull seal and bearing.
Put it all back together, and do other side.

While your at it, put on some new pads/rotors.
Add a bottle or 2 of GM LSD fluid.

Will there be any chance of screwing up my rear gears by doing that?
