Dying to get an R6. Me and dad have same name, his credit sucks, and there are about 2 negative things on my reports that belong to him... (2 from each credit agency...some have more than two). I wasn't aware of my outstanding capital one debt from when I was FOURTEEN!

People at credit places are idiots.

Yamaha gave me 5000 towards a bike. Not enough for the R6 I want. Tempting me to get a used one. Interest rate is ridiculous. So tempting, but I know it'd be a mistake from the beginning. I will have to straighten out my credit and wait. Had to vent. Credit people tick me off. What are social security numbers for? Makes me wonder why they would even ask for it in the first place...

You can challange any info on your credit report that doesn't belong there. It may take a few weeks for their investigation, but they'll get it straightened out. Make sure you do it, bad credit can hamper you for life, you definately don't want someone else's problems.

Yeah, tell me about it. I was playing tag with a credit agency last year. It was ridiculous. I'd challenge everything on it. They'd send my new report to me, said they deleted the other stuff, and litterally 3 or 4 more things would show up on it. They're like retarded. I called and fought with the woman. I said just take it off. She said she can't, I had to keep writing. I asked her what was so hard to understand that it wasn't mine. I mean, a lot of those records are from the 90's. I was just a young buck back in the day. 14-15 years old. I wish they could just match up the records with the ss numbers and just delete them. The databases must be poorly put together. If the records are linked to ss numbers, this wouldn't happen.
