I've got '97 firebird then i repainted myself and it's spotless on the outside only problem is the inside isn't in the greatest condition. The person that owned it before me had zero respect for the car so there use to be soda stains in the carpet(untill i got ahole of it) and of course there's cigerette burns in the seats and what not... There are even some burns in the headliner. Should i get all the seats rewrapped in a leather or soft vinyl or should i stick with cloth? Some are sayin that the vinyl is gonna kill in the summer expecially if i get black or dark grey... And i was also wanting to adda lil "spice" to my interior what should i do any ideas?

It depends on your budget. If you want to spring for leather, it's pretty easy to maintain and looks & smells great! I live in San Antonio - even in very hot weather, the seats never get scalding hot (Black paint and charcol grey interior). Sometimes, you can buy the used seat covers (leather or cloth) on ebay for pretty cheap and slip them on yourself - it's not that hard. As they say in China . . . . Good Ruck.

I got my seats at Classic Soft Trim.
The quality is great, and they look alot like the factory leather.
I would definitely get the leather over the cloth, it has a much richer look and feel. If it gets too hot in the summer with shorts on just throw a beach towel over it.
I would also replace the carpet and headliner. Total project with seats carpet and headliner should cost about $1000
Do you think the brainless owner before you realized they were doing $1000 damage to the car? What an idiot, some people just don't care.Tracy

Personally, I would search the internet for a takeout interior. When I did the 94Z project, I replaced the headliner, cloth front and rear seats and some console parts that were broken for a total investment of $300.00 and that even included an original radio too. It pays to scour the net.Originally posted by TraceZI would also replace the carpet and headliner. Total project with seats carpet and headliner should cost about $1000

What he said! I noticed from your sig that you are "wprking your way" to a WS6. Don't drop $1K in the interior if you are not plannig on keeping it a while - you will not get $1K more when you sell it. Search E-bay - there are stock interiors of every color out there if you look.Silver 02 WS-6, 6 speed, Corsa cat-back, SLP lid, K&N filter, BMR STB, !CAGs, Lou's short stick, MSD wires, MTI "Hammer" cam, ASP underdrive pulley, Hooker LTs, Hooker ORY, Comp 918s, TR pushrods, UMI Sfcs, UMI LCAs, NGK TR55s, Hotchkis springs
