    I just threw P1133 - "Manufacturer's control air/fuel meter"

Last week I threw P1153 - "Bank 2 has shifted lean."

The first time I thought it may have been a glitch, some weird hiccup in the system because after I removed the code, I drove 1100 miles from New Orleans back to Detroit without it coming back on.

Today, I was crusing in 5th gear, 45 mph, when the SES light came on again... got it scanned and P1133 was the result. I had that removed as well, drove home, and it hasn't come back on.

Something's up regarding the air/fuel mix, O2 sensors, or exhaust... but I don't know where to begin.

Any input from the experts here? I'd sure appreciate it...
Former Ride: 2002 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 - 345 rwhp, 360 rwtq... stock internally.

    Current Ride: 2006 Subaru Legacy GT Limited - spec.B #312 of 500

Did a little search on CZ28 and may have found your problem. Looks like either your driver's side O2 senser needs to be replaced or the PCM is upset because the O2 sensor isn't cycling between rich and lean enough. Cheapest thing would be to get a heat shield around the driver's side O2 sensor, a spark plug shield would work fine. If that doesn't fix it, might be time to replace the sensor. Are they the orig. sensors or did you replace them when you did the LTs? If not, how old are they, age and/or miles?

    P.S. 1300th post lol

Just to clarify before I start, my over-the-net service rate is $95.00/ hour. I'll send you an invoice. It will be entitled Elite Velocity.

This seems to be a fairly common problem after longtubes are put on a LS1. P153 is a code derived from bank 2 sensor 1 (front right o2 sensor). P1153 is actually a code thrown when the PCM senses a "lazy" o2 sensor or the particular exhaust gasses are cooler than stock on Bank 2 due to the bank 2 sensor 1 being moved further downstream than stock with a LT install. It could actually be a stand alone problem with the sensor not switching properly or it could actually be a problem with being caused by a cooler exhaust gas stream and "confusing" the sesnor.

I haven't really seen any substatiated evdence, but it has said that some types of header coatings can actually contaminate a heated o2 sesnor.

Just one more possibility would be that you have a leak at the collector on bank 2.

      Pay up sucka!
