I mean his bid constitutes a contract. Once your reserve is met, the high bidder is obligated to buy. Looks like it's gonna happen......I hope you're OK. I am sure it will go much higher prior to the auction ending. Good luck.

BTW your car is sweet, especially with the headers. I am envious (and poor or I would buy it)

Son of a... I'll kill him. I don't have time to be ****ing around with this. If he ends up high bidder and doesn't follow through, I'll bring my own recorse to him.

Easy now, it looks like he bought an '01 TA on the 7th, and the seller left him + feedback. Sold for 11K. He also operates an ebay store that sells what appear to be self-defense videos... go figure... Anyway, I would not automatically assume the worst, but I would do a little research and check on who is on the other end of your auctions. Seller beware works just as well as buyer beware. Hope this goes ok, and you get the house you want. I also hope you make it back to the f-car family some day... :-)

Yep, I saw that and it made me feel much better. Also, he has 6 pages of seller feedback on him as a buyer, and only one time did he flake out on the deal and not come through. I feel pretty good about this now...

And yes, his bid is supposed to be a contract to buy, but good luck making good on that if he backs out. You have no real recourse.
Tracy is right. I set up stores and auctions for people on ebay and ebaymotors. A winning bidder can back out at virtually any time as long as he provides ebay with a reasonable excuse as to why. It doesn't happen all that often though with passenger vehicles auctions.
