I just bought my '02 Trans Am WS6 2 weeks ago, and I have to tell you, your price was really good. I paid 24,000 for mine with 16k on it. Yours is almost identical. The milage is spot on, and the car looks to be in beautiful shape. Good luck getting the house. You made the right choice.

LOL. He must be a good guy then! Did he ask if he could make partial payment in beer, cheese and brats?

Thanks, but damn man, you got taken a bit on that price... if you would have posted here a little sooner, I would have told you there is a 2300 mile '02 silver WS6 on LS1tech going for low 20s/high teens...

Dealers keep asking 20s for these cars, and they just aren't worth that much anymore.

For the most part, you are correct. The first issue I had was how I wanted the car. My first choice of color was black. My second choice was black. Actually, so was my third. You can see where this is going. I must have looked at 25 to 30 black Trans Ams in the last 6 months. I have to tell you.... not many keep their appearance in that color. This one is perfect. The paint looks like a mirror. No dings, dents, scratches, or even swirls.

The second issue was I reeeeeally had to have a manual. My daily driver is an auto, but I wanted a 6 speed for my weekend car. Finding a black 6 speed WS-6 with low miles in mint shape was damn near impossible. So much so that I almost went Cobra... ... Almost.

I actually talked the dealer down from their 26,000 asking price, so all in all, I was pretty happy.

Mine definitely kept it's color and shine - mirror-like to say the least ... too bad we were just a couple weeks apart or else we could have put something together that would have been better for the both of us!

The WS6 on ls1tech I am talking about was a manual, but it was silver.

It would have worked out nice. From your pics on Ebay, that finish looks exactly like mine. Perfect. That goes a long way in telling how someone took care of their car. The buyer is getting himself a beautiful car.

As soon as you get settled with your house and finances, get yourself another F-body. I did almost the same thing you did. Back in '96, I had a $5,000 deposit on a WS-6. My fiance at the time (now my wife) talked me into saving it for a house. I'm glad I did.

There ain't nothing sweeter than seeing a black T/A in your own garage.

                  Good luck.

I think I'm done with the f-body until/unless GM resurrects it.

Or maybe a vintage 1967 Camaro SS...

Other than that, the next sportscar in my garage is going to start with "Cor" and end with "vette".

Nothing wrong with that. Nothing at all. Someday I may go for a Corvette convertible. I want to wait until the C6's are a few years old.

I'm figuring more like 4 or 5 years down the road. I want to still be able to get in and out of it without too much trouble...
